Type a word and see every registered domain that starts with it, ends with it, contains it or is exactly it — as screenshots, across 162M+ domains and every extension. Names are ranked by how many extensions they are registered in; new captures appear within the hour.
| Starts with | the default: names beginning with what you typed, most popular first |
| Ends with · Exact · Anywhere | the other three ways to match a name; Anywhere finds the word inside longer names |
| Pattern | a shape instead of a word: cvcv.in (consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel), LL**.in, lnln |
tld:in | one extension only; a dotted name like shop.in does the same |
len:4 · len:<=6 | name length |
ext:>5 | registered in more than five extensions — the popularity filter |
entropy:>6 · Developed | how much is on the page; the Developed toggle keeps real sites only |
sort:newest | also sort:entropy, sort:short, sort:long, sort:ext |
-word | leave out names containing a word |
The colon is optional: tld in and len 4 work too.
Every search on the page is one GET: https://crawls.in/api/visual-search?q=pizza&mode=prefix&limit=60. Modes are prefix, suffix, exact, any, pattern; operators go inside q; dev=1 is the Developed toggle; offset pages. The answer is JSON with one card per domain: name, extension, screenshot URL, how developed the page is, title, platform, when it was captured.
Fair use: it is free and needs no key. Per visitor we allow bursts of typing and about 2,000 searches a day; a script that walks a word list gets a 429 and a message. If you need more, write to [email protected] — bulk access is a conversation, not a block. The terms and the privacy policy say the rest.
A fleet of headless browsers renders newly registered and changing domains around the clock, about two million pages a day, and keeps the screenshot of each. Search answers from a name table that is refreshed every hour, so a site captured this morning is findable this afternoon. Freshness is public: /api/freshness says when the newest capture landed.
crawls.in is built by Harmony Infotech, a domain-name company in Visakhapatnam, India, as the tool it needed for its own portfolio decisions. Sibling sites: crawls.si (the .si rush, measured) and namer.in. Questions, bulk access, a site that should not be shown: [email protected].
